We are hiring for Internal Auditor.
The Internal Auditor will provide an independent and evidence-based view of how effectively the company’s processes; controls and governance practices are operating.
You will help the business grow — with control.
You will help teams move faster — with accountability.
You will help leadership identify risk — before it becomes loss, disruption or exposure.
What you will do
Internal audit planning and execution
- Support the preparation of risk-based annual and periodic internal audit plans.
- Conduct scheduled and surprise audits across departments, branches, warehouses, workshops, projects and operational locations.
- Review the effectiveness of internal controls, approval processes and segregation of duties.
- Evaluate whether business activities are being performed in accordance with approved policies, procedures and delegated authority levels.
- Document audit objectives, scope, testing methods, findings and supporting evidence.
- Maintain complete and well-organised audit working papers.
- Identify control weaknesses, process gaps, irregularities and areas of potential financial or operational exposure.
Financial and transactional controls
- Review revenue, purchasing, payments, expenses, advances, reimbursements, credit notes and other financial transactions.
- Verify supporting documents, approvals, account coding and adherence to company procedures.
- Review customer receivables, supplier balances, ageing reports and long-outstanding items.
- Examine bank reconciliations, petty cash, employee advances and other cash-related controls.
- Review journal entries, provisions, adjustments and unusual transactions where required.
- Assess whether financial records accurately reflect the underlying business activity.
- Support investigations into discrepancies, unauthorised transactions or suspected misuse of company resources.
Inventory, warehouse and asset audits
- Conduct physical inventory checks and participate in periodic stock counts.
- Verify the accuracy of inventory records against physical quantities.
- Review controls over material receipt, storage, issuance, transfer, production consumption, return and dispatch.
- Examine stock adjustments, write-offs, damaged materials, scrap and slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
- Review traceability of high-value and safety-critical materials, products and lifting accessories.
- Verify controls relating to tools, machinery, testing equipment, vehicles, IT assets and other fixed assets.
- Identify inventory leakage, unexplained variance, inaccurate recording or weaknesses in custody and access controls.
Procurement and supplier controls
- Review purchase requisitions, quotations, purchase orders, supplier selection and approval documentation.
- Assess compliance with procurement policies and delegated authority limits.
- Verify whether appropriate commercial comparisons and supporting justifications are maintained.
- Review potential conflicts of interest, duplicate suppliers, unusual purchasing patterns or repetitive exceptions.
- Examine supplier advances, open purchase orders, goods received but not invoiced and invoice matching.
- Assess supplier onboarding, due diligence and master-data controls.
- Recommend improvements that strengthen transparency without unnecessarily slowing procurement activity.
Sales, commercial and project audits
- Review quotations, discounts, pricing approvals, customer credit limits and contract documentation.
- Assess whether sales orders, delivery records, invoices and customer acknowledgements are properly aligned.
- Review project-related expenses, material usage, subcontractor costs, variations and billing.
- Examine the commercial and financial controls applied to high-value or technically complex orders.
- Review margin deviations, unbilled revenue, delayed invoicing and commercial exceptions.
- Verify whether customer-specific terms and contractual commitments are clearly documented and approved.
- Identify areas where revenue, margin, cash collection or contractual protection may be at risk.
Process, compliance and operational audits
- Review processes across finance, procurement, sales, production, warehouse, logistics, projects, HR, payroll, IT and administration.
- Assess adherence to company policies, standard operating procedures and approval matrices.
- Review access rights, system controls and user-authorisation practices within ERP, accounting and operational systems.
- Identify manual processes, duplicate activities and control gaps that increase the risk of error or manipulation.
- Evaluate whether management reports are supported by complete and reliable data.
- Support audits connected to quality, HSE, certification and regulatory requirements where relevant.
- Assess whether records are complete, controlled, retrievable and audit-ready.
Audit reporting and follow-up
- Prepare clear audit reports covering findings, risks, root causes and recommended corrective actions.
- Categorise findings based on their financial, operational, compliance or reputational impact.
- Present findings professionally and objectively to department heads and management.
- Agree practical corrective actions, responsible owners and completion timelines.
- Maintain an audit action tracker and regularly follow up on outstanding findings.
- Verify whether corrective actions have been properly implemented and are operating effectively.
- Escalate overdue or high-risk findings to the appropriate leadership level.
- Highlight recurring control issues and systemic risks rather than reporting each incident in isolation.
Risk management and continuous improvement
- Support the identification and documentation of business risks across departments.
- Contribute to the development of risk registers, control matrices and process documentation.
- Review new processes, systems or business activities from a control and risk perspective.
- Recommend practical improvements that strengthen controls, reduce waste and simplify workflows.
- Analyse patterns in audit findings, losses, stock variances, exceptions and policy deviations.
- Help management distinguish between isolated mistakes and underlying process weaknesses.
- Promote a culture where internal audit is viewed as a business-improvement partner without compromising independence.
