Amzone International is looking for a technically strong and commercially driven Technical Sales – Elevators Engineer to support the growth of our Elevator & Escalator business.
The role combines technical expertise in elevator controls, drives and electrical/electronic components with customer support, technical sales and business development. The position will also support the setup and development of Amzone’s Drives Testing, Repair & Refurbishment Division.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Elevator Drive Division, covering technical, customer and commercial requirements.
- Develop strong technical expertise in elevator controls, drives and related electrical/electronic systems.
- Support sales of elevator control panels, HMIs, VFDs, drives and related components within the Elevator & Escalator sector.
- Provide technical support for testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and validation of elevator controls and drives.
- Work with Monarch, STEP and similar elevator control systems, supporting technical queries and applications.
- Understand customer requirements and provide product recommendations, technical solutions and demonstrations.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing elevator customers and identify opportunities for additional business.
- Support new customer development, lead generation and sales within the elevator controls and drives segment.
- Conduct customer visits, technical discussions and support the preparation of technical proposals and presentations.
- Support the setup and development of the Drives Testing, Repair & Refurbishment Division, including testing processes, technical requirements and capabilities.
- Support drive testing, fault diagnosis, repair, refurbishment and validation, ensuring appropriate quality standards.
- Develop customer opportunities for the drives testing, repair and refurbishment services.
- Coordinate with Service, Engineering, Procurement, Commercial and Operations teams for effective customer support and execution.
- Monitor customer requirements, market developments and competitor offerings to identify new business opportunities.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling, upselling and repeat business across the elevator product portfolio.
Ideal Profile
Education & Experience
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (E&E).
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in the Elevator & Escalator industry.
- UAE elevator industry experience will be an advantage.
Technical Expertise
- Knowledge of VFDs, elevator drives and control panels.
- Experience with Monarch / STEP or similar elevator control systems.
- Experience in testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and validation.
- Understanding of elevator HMIs and electrical/electronic components.
- Exposure to drive testing, repair or refurbishment will be an advantage.
